"We Love Andrea" was created to update Andrea's friends as she went through a difficult journey. After her second heart transplant when her pulse began to speed up she was given a pacemaker, then a Heart Mate II or LVAD. She was in the Stollery Children's Hospital, then the Mazankowski heart unit in Edmonton, Alberta for 7 months. However, she peacefully died on May 11, 2011 when the rest of her heart and other organs could handle the strain no longer. If you come to this blog, pray for her family and friends, remember to tell your friends you love them, then sign your organ donor card.

Guestbook

Hi to all, just wondering if some of you would be willing to leave a comment under this message with who you are or why your visiting, just for interest sake. I'm getting a very diverse group of people and I'd like to tell Maynards who you are and what your story is! If you yourself have a heartmate or LVAD or know someone who does, it would be great to hear from you as this is all rather new for us.

  3. Hello Maynard and Fay. I just received the blogspot from Kathy Klassen today and want to wish you all the best of the Christmas season! I am so sorry to hear that Andrea has to go through this. My daughter Kayli Reimer went through a second heart surgery Dec 14 last year and she has done well. I often tell Kayli of Andrea when both were in the hospital at the same time 10 yrs ago...

    Blessings,
Andrea and Kayli Reimer, Strasbourg, SK

  7. Hi Maynard and Faye, Jeff and Twila; Greetings from Antler, Sk. We listened in this morning to the service and it came through very nicely. There were a lot of touching moments. Sorry we couldn't be there to show our sympathy. We have a lot of wonderful memories of the times in our childhood spent in Mexico with you and your parents Maynard. The songs and writings of Andrea clearly depict the legacy of her forbears. She has completed an impressive missionary journey with her spiritual sharing. I'm sure that the Hiebert legacy is just as enduring and steadfast because we have seen and felt that side too. May God present you with a special blessing on your future journey. - Hasta luego, Brian and Theresa Isaac
